Science Bootcamp I
Participants will:
(1) master drawing strategies that are proven to help students master difficult science content; (2) address common misconceptions in NGSSS Science, (3) learn how to maintain previously taught science skills, (4) explore journaling ideas crafted to build depth of knowledge; (5) explore center-based interventions utilizing games, online resources, lab materials, and probing tools; (6) create a daily classroom regimen with timed activities; and (7) learn how to connect the Nature of Science Cluster to all science content.

3rd, 4th, 5th, and 8th grade teachers
$50 Per Person
Science Bootcamp II
Participants will:
(1) utilize the Speed Bag drawing strategies as a journal entry for building depth of knowledge (2) explore journaling ideas crafted to build depth of knowledge (3) explore virtual learning tools that will enhance student academic performance (4) evaluate reading strategies that help ESOL, learning disabled, and struggling readers with difficult science content, (5) learn how to use simple hands on materials for quick 5 minute exploration labs to boost the Nature of Science Cluster, (6) enhance the daily classroom regimen created during the Science Bootcamp I Training.

3rd, 4th, 5th, and 8th grade teachers
